Purpendicular "Human Mechanic" Vinyl
PURPENDICULAR wurde im Oktober 2007 von dem irischen Sänger Robby Thomas Walsh gegründet. Die Erfolgsgeschichte der Band ist erstaunlich, denn bereits im ersten Jahr auf Tour absolvierte man eine kurze Europatournee mit dem Original-Deep-Purple-Schlagzeuger Ian Paice. "Diese Band ist eine der Top-Bands, mit denen ich zusammenarbeite, ihr werdet sie lieben, diese Jungs sind so gut, dass ich mir nur um mich selbst Sorgen machen muss"- Ian Paice 2012 2012 war PURPENDICULAR die meistgebuchte Deep Purple-Tribute-Show der Welt. Dies wiederholte sich in den Jahren 2013 und 2014. Im Laufe der Jahre arbeiteten PURPENDICULAR mit großartigen Musikern zusammen. So z.B. Roger Glover am Bass in Pratteln Schweiz im Jahr 2012, Tony Carey ex Rainbow auf dem Album "Venus to Volcanus" 2017, Paul Morris ex Rainbow an den Tasten auf der Tour 2018 mit der Band tourte oder auch Neil Murray ex Black Sabbath, Whitesnake, Brian May, der 2021 die komplette Tour am Bass begleitet. Im Jahr 2020 begannen PURPENDICULAR die Arbeiten für das dritte Studioalbum "Human Mechanic". Sänger Walsh und Schlagzeuger Paice trafen dabei wichtige Entscheidungen hinsichtlich des Line-Up um weiter voranzukommen. Das Album selbst verzögerte sich wegen Covid dann jedoch leider um fast zwei Jahre. Musikalisch bietet "Human Mechanic" die typischen Ian-Paice-Grooves und funkige Basslinien, ohne jedoch den schweren Hardrock-Sound zu vernachlässigen. Hier findet man keine Kopie von Deep Purple, sondern viele Einflüsse. Aber Hammonds und Gitarren sind immer noch stark im Vordergrund.

PURPENDICULAR was formed in October 2007 by Irish singer Robby Thomas Walsh. The band's track record is amazing, as in their first year on tour they completed a short European tour with original Deep Purple drummer Ian Paice. "This band is one of the top bands I work with, you will love them, these guys are so good I only have to worry about myself"- Ian Paice 2012 In 2012 PURPENDICULAR was the most booked Deep Purple tribute show in the world. This was repeated in 2013 and 2014. Over the years PURPENDICULAR worked with great musicians. For example Roger Glover on bass in Pratteln Switzerland in 2012, Tony Carey ex Rainbow on the album "Venus to Volcanus" 2017, Paul Morris ex Rainbow on keys on the 2018 tour toured with the band or Neil Murray ex Black Sabbath, Whitesnake, Brian May joining the full tour on bass in 2021. In 2020, PURPENDICULAR began work on their third studio album, Human Mechanic. Singer Walsh and drummer Paice made important decisions regarding the line-up to move forward. Unfortunately, the album itself was delayed by almost two years because of Covid. Musically, "Human Mechanic" offers the typical Ian Paice grooves and funky bass lines, but without neglecting the heavy hard rock sound. You won't find a copy of Deep Purple here, but many influences. But Hammonds and guitars are still strongly in the foreground.
